Smokey was born in blues town of St. Louis, Missouri, USA and began singing in church at an early age. Growing up "in the good"was not promising to him and he badly needed a way out! Luckily his god-given talent for music fueled by his passion for performing drove him to pursue his childhood dream of becoming a professional entertainer. By the time he finished high school he had acquired skills in several instruments including guitar and drums.
